This page outlines the terms, conditions, and rules (“Terms”) for entering the Campaign.
Participation in the Campaign provides the participant a chance to obtain tickets and Event vouchers for the Volkswagen T-Cross City Launch Event, taking place in Johannesburg, Gauteng on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd September 2019 at Montecasino Outdoor Area, Montecasino, Fourways, Johannesburg (the “Event”).

Campaign Opening and Closing Times:
The Campaign opens at 9:00AM (South African local time) on 31 July 2019, and closes on allocation of all available
in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or on the Event dates 20 September 2019
In order to be eligible to register for the Campaign and Event, Entrants must be 18 years or older, and of full legal capacity.
Each entrant may only enter once . One entry entitles the ticket holder to two tickets.
Entrants are eligible to include two passes for minors. The minors will, however, not be registered, nor will they receive vouchers. VWSA is entitled to apply a restriction on the number of minors permitted to attend.
Minors may not access any area that is restricted for access to persons over 18 , and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Adults accompanying minors accept responsibility for the minors and indemnify VWSA against any claims arising from injury to or death of the minors.
The first 4000 persons who register for tickets at www.TCrossCity.co.za in accordance with these terms and conditions will be eligible to receive a ticket.
Entrants attending the Event are responsible for their own travel arrangements and cost.
Entry is open to all residents of South Africa as well as foreigners who legally reside within South Africa, except:
any person who does not meet the eligibility requirements of the Event which are be specified in the Campaign Terms and Conditions;
any person who does not give complete or correct registration or other information requested by VWSA upon entering the Promotion or receiving any Prize;
any other person whom VWSA deems ineligible, based on applicable laws.
All entrants to the Event (unless they have requested to retain their anonymity at the time of entering any Campaign, as provided for on the relevant microsite page) agree to:
if required by VWSA, participate in a photo, video, film and/or radio session, or any other form of publicity for VWSA in relation to the Event;
the broadcasting or other publication of an entrant's name, character, statements, voice recordings or any other information regarding the entrant, in any advertising or promotional activities concerning a Campaign or promotions of VWSA in general. This includes the use of the entrant’s name to disclose that they have won a Prize; and
allow VWSA to use, in any reasonable manner as they see fit, any entrant’s materials submitted in connection with the
Campaign, whether in written, electronic, visual, audio and/or any other form). Upon such submission, such materials (and all copyright in them) become the property of VWSA and the entrant waives all moral rights, rights of publicity, and any other intellectual property rights he/she may have in such materials.
Entry and participation in the Event is
Entrants shall, however, be responsible for the costs imposed by their internet service providers or other costs which are not imposed by VWSA.
Each entry entitles the individual to two general admission tickets to the Volkswagen T-Cross City Event and a voucher of one drink and one meal per ticket to a total value of R95.00 per ticket, which includes the R5 ticketing fee, bringing the value to R100.00. This voucher can be used to purchase refreshments at the Event only. If it is not used, it is not redeemable for cash .
Tickets will be for a selected date (either the Saturday or the Sunday) and cannot be interchanged.
Before receiving any Ticket from VWSA, VWSA reserves the right to request proof of any information submitted by any Ticket Holder, where the failure to provide such proof, will allow VWSA to disqualify the Ticket Holder, and re-award a Ticket to the next eligible participant. This is done for safety and security purposes.
Once the Event Registration has been completed, you will be notified that you have received a Ticket. Successful Ticket holders will be sent a link via email and / or SMS to the relevant contact details provided by the relevant Ticket during registration, with instructions on how to redeem the Ticket.
The Ticket may be claimed and/or redeemed any time before the Event concludes.
Receiving a Ticket is subject to the following conditions relating to the Prize:
it is not redeemable or transferable for cash or any other consideration, and may not be sold, assigned or transferred;
it must be used on the dates specified as applicable to it i.e. only redeemed on either Friday 20 September 2019 (invite only), Saturday 21 September 2019 or Sunday 22 September 2019 as specified on the ticket;
it is provided "as-is" and VWSA shall have no liability as a result of, or in connection with, the acceptance, use and/or enjoyment of the Prize including, but not limited to, any loss, damage, expense or injury suffered;
can only be redeemed by the relevant holder of the Ticket (i.e. person who holds the ID number to which the Ticket is linked). Ticket name changes can take place prior to Thursday 12 September by contacting Howler and following the relevant firstname.lastname@example.org. Thereafter no changes to a Ticket can be made.
Any third-party costs associated with the acceptance and claiming of the Prize are solely for the winner's expense. This includes all relevant taxes and third-party charges associated with Ticket acceptance, and/or travel to/from the Event.
VWSA shall not be responsible for any problem that is directly or indirectly related to the running of the Campaign, which may affect the outcome of the Event and/or the determination of any Ticket holder, save for instances of fraud or gross negligence on the part of VWSA, whether as a result of technical or other problems, its affiliates, the entrant, or any third party, will not the responsibility of VWSA.
VWSA may amend or change these Terms & Conditions, at any time. Entrants will be notified of such Terms changes via VWSA’s official social media channels.
By continuing to participate, entrants accept the amended terms and conditions.
VWSA reserves the right to postpone or withdraw this Campaign and Event at any time in its sole discretion.
VWSA and its respective agents, directors, officers, shareholders, employees, insurers, servants, parents, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, predecessors, successors, representatives, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors (the “Released Entities”), shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from or relating to: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, misaddressed, incomplete, or unintelligible entries; (ii) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, computer or other malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, whether human or technical; (iii) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer or e-mail transmissions; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of VWSA; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of any Ticket, or any portion thereof that may have been awarded, or acceptance, possession, or use of any Ticket, or any portion thereof that may have been awarded, or from participation in the Campaign; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Campaign; or (vii) the failure of any artist listed in the Event to participate herein for any reason or no reason whatsoever.
This Campaignshall be governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. By participating in this Campaign, Entrants agree that the courts of South Africa shall have jurisdiction over any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Campaign and that venue shall be only in the province of Gauteng.
In the event that one of the pop-up venues housed within the Event has reached the area’s total capacity, the Ticket holder will be able to visit one of the other experiences at VW T-Cross City until the said pop up empties out again.
Personal information collected within Howler will be used for the purposes of communications between the Howler and VWSA provided opt in for further communications has been provided by the registrar.
The Event’s partners will receive registration information provided ‘opt in for further communications’ has been selected by Howler.

Volkswagen T-Cross City 'Share your favourite moments' Road Trip Competition Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions govern the Volkswagen T-Cross City ‘share your favourite moments’ social media Road Trip Competition hosted by Volkswagen of South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“VWSA”).
By participating in the Competition, you agree to these terms and conditions.
In addition, your access to any website or application required for participation will be subject to the terms and conditions imposed by the respective service providers.
VWSA shall not be responsible for any loss or damage arising from the Competition. This includes but is not limited to that arising from technical malfunction of any communication network, late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible or corrupt Competition entry or participant error required for entry into the Competition.
The participant agrees to comply with all applicable legislation when participating in the Competition. VWSA shall, in its sole discretion be entitled to recover any loss or damage arising from the participant’s contravention of legislation or commission of any criminal act while participating in the Competition.
The Competition commences in South Africa at 09h00 on Friday 3 October 2019 and closes at 09h00 on Fiday 18 October 2019. Winners will be announced on dates as set out in paragraph 16.
The Competition is only open to legal residents of South Africa who are 18 years or older.
The Competition is not open to members, partners, directors, employees, agents or consultants of VWSA or its affiliated companies, dealers, agencies, service providers, contractors and members of their immediate or extended family.
Only ticket holders may enter the competition.
To be eligible, participants will be required to use Twitter, Instagram or Facebook to post their favourite moment from T-Cross City.
The mechanic is to post a picture, text or a video of your favourite moment and use the hashtag #TCrossCity.
A person may enter as many times as they like.
The prize will consist of the following items which will be announced according to the dates listed in paragraph 16 of these Rules.
T-Cross Road Trip:
Win a road trip away and the use of a Volkswagen T-Cross to get you there and back.
The total Prize includes petrol, spending money and accommodation to the value of R5,000.00 (Five Thousand Rand).
The colour and specifications of the prize shall be as selected by VWSA. The image used in communication or promotional material is therefore not necessarily reflective of the prize.
The prizes are neither transferable nor negotiable and cannot be deferred. The Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.
The winner will be chosen by way of random draw conducted at 09h30 on Wednesday 16 October 2019.
The winner will be notified via Direct Message on the social media platform that their winning post was on.
If VWSA is unable to contact the winner within 24 Hours of the draw, VWSA shall be entitled but not obliged to award the prize to the next eligible winner.
The road trip prize must be taken by Monday 25 November 2019, no T-Cross vehicle will be available after this time.
The winner will be requested but will be under no obligation to consent to his/her name and photograph being published or otherwise used by VWSA for promotional purposes in relation to the Competition.
The Competition judges’ decision shall be final and not subject to any appeal or review. No correspondence will be entered into.
If VWSA is legally required to alter any aspect of the Competition or to terminate the Competition, VWSA will have the right to do so without prior notice. Neither VWSA nor its Dealers shall be liable for such alteration or cancellation.
VWSA reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at time without prior notice.
Unless you consent otherwise, neither VWSA nor any of its Dealers will use the personal information you give us for any purpose other than facilitation of the Competition or compliance with applicable legislation.
It shall be a pre-requisite for the winner to provide VWSA with proof of his/her identity acceptable to VWSA upon collection of the prize.
Successful entry into the Competition does not amount to eligibility.
Announcement of a winner does not amount to compliance with the Competition Terms and Conditions. VWSA reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches any of the Competition Terms and Conditions, or engages in any unlawful or dishonest conduct in relation to the Competition. In this regard VWSA shall be entitled to recover any loss or damage from the responsible party arising from such conduct.
The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern this Competition.
